In most cases, arthritis can be managed through therapeutic exercise, physical therapy, and massage therapy.
Sprains and Strains
Sprains and strains can happen anywhere, at any time. they are a tearing of the connective tissue that connects muscles to bones (tendons), or bones to bones (ligaments) that can produce pain, swelling, and a lack of healthy range of motion. The tendency is to want to walk off a sprain or strain, especially if it doesn't affect the active range of motion severely, but more often than not, a sprain or strain can lead to muscular dysfunction or a change in gait or posture. Another common misconception is that sprains and strains only happen to people who are physically active during times of exertion. These problems can arise from situations as innocuous as filling a bird feeder, or reaching for something on the top shelf.
