The Phoenix - Bird Rising from the Ashes
The lesson of the Phoenix is "in the midst of prosperity, we need a renewal phase, a recycling, and interruption of the status quo, letting go of angels so that Archangels may appear."
The Phoenix flies far ahead to the front, always scanning the landscape and distance space. It represents our capacity for our vision, for collecting sensory information about our environment and the events unfolding within it. The Phoenix, with its great beauty, creates intense excitement and deathless inspiration. The Phoenix represents a new beginning, a casting off the old, and a fresh new start, a rebirth. It inspires us, refreshes us and fulfills thirst for adventures and new life.
The Phoenix symbolizes immortality and resurrection and arising from the ashes to start a new beginning. The beautiful, fiery bird rising from the ashes is a classic symbol of life and freedom and self determination: nothing in this world can ever stop the Phoenix.
This is our hope for the patients who visit Utica Physical Therapy – and the driving force behind its existence. That although they may feel pain and suffering, we can help them renew their strength and give them the tools which allow them to begin and continue to soar. They must possess the conviction and eagerness to put themselves into the hands of those who will teach them how to rise above and find rebirth in a new lifestyle – encompassing new strength and education – which cannot be accomplished with pills, passivity, unproven gimmicks or misinformation.
As all people, we have been affected by one thing or another – which could potentially stop us in our tracks. The 9/11 terrorist attacks, the economy, the loss of a loved one or job, or the inability to do things we once could with ease. With faith in God, others, and ourselves, we at Utica Physical Therapy believe we can all rise above our circumstances to prove our faith and determination will prevail.
We believe that is how life’s challenges should be approached. We believe that every day should be lived as though it were the last. Be the best person you can be; exemplifying the best morals and ethics possible. Be honest, loving, caring and giving. Everything done should be done so that one can live with oneself and have no regrets. Like the Phoenix; all rise, renew, and begin again.

“Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They will run and not become tired. They will walk and not become weary.” – Isaiah 40:31
“This shall be the new light, the new sun which rises when the worn-out one shall set, and give light to them who are in shadow and darkness because of the old sun, which did not enlighten them.” Dante Alighieri – the greatest writer of the Italian Renaissance.
"Speaking generally, all parts of the body which have function, if used in moderation and exercised in labors to which each is accustomed, become thereby healthy and well developed, and age slowly, but if unused and left idle, they become liable to disease, defective in growth, and age quickly."
